St. Francis of Assissi in Muncie this week erected a new work of art in its church.

The cross, built by Gary Prater of Muncie, was hung recently and is now accompanied with the body of Jesus in the church sanctuary.

The brass representation of Jesus, made by Hopen Studio Inc. of West Virginia, hangs free from the cross signifying that Jesus does not remain on the cross but was resurrected and ascended into Heaven.
